Restarted, removed the 2.17.10 USB midi driver (apparently it's BUGGY AS HELL). Updated to the Novation USB driver 2.17.10 - now Components won't see my LP Pro MK3 connected. No problem with the Launchpad X, at all, using the same exact custom map. Just set a MIDI CC widget to a different midi channel than 1, set to Trigger. Every time I create a new Custom Mode, send it directly to the MK3, it does work. What a drag.ĭefinitely something REALLY wacky, here. Update 3: Tried to update firmware from a different computer with the latest version of Components. Uninstalling it made all the devices work again (and they show up in Ableton's Preferences, and Reaper's, too). It killed my Launchpad X, Launchpad Mini MK3, SL MKIII, and the Launchpad Pro MK3.

Update 2: Don't install the Novation 2.17.10 USB Midi Driver. so it's not that it's "locking" the device. And only one program is running at a time. Update an hour later: Now my Launchpad Pro MK3 just will not be seen by Components, Ableton, or Reaper. Firmware is upgraded (version 440?), everything working as it should. didn't work for Custom #6, now won't send to # 4.
Insanity.Ĭouldn't send my Custom Modes to my Launchpad Pro MK3 after a few fights with this. If you hovered your mouse over the MIDI CC widget, instead of that it showed as a long bipolar fader. (what? Definitely a glitch in Components, from what I could tell). Same thing happened when a few MIDI CC widgets turned into a horizontal bipolar fader. when I re-sent the Custom mode from the Launchpad Pro MK3 to Components for further editing. That was my first sign of trouble.Īlso, when I created a Drum Grid, two of the pads (C#1 and D1, respectively) turn into a weird Horizontal Bipolar fader. It should be whatever color you assign it to, and stay that color, if you hit it or not. What it SHOULD do is just not change color. it gets stuck Green when you hit it once, after you send it to the LP Pro MK3. Making a Custom mode, if you do a MIDI CC Widget.
